Dr. Joseph Wood

PT, DPT, CMTPT, ATC


Joseph is from Staunton Virginia where he attended Robert E. Lee High School. Following high school, Joseph attended Bridgewater College where he received his degree in Athletic Training (ATC). At Bridgewater, Joseph got the opportunity to work with multiple sports and help get athletes back on the field as quickly as possible. After graduating from Bridgewater, Joseph attended Murphy Deming College of Health Sciences where he received his Doctorate in Physical Therapy in 2018 (DPT). Since graduating from PT School, Joseph has become a Certified Manual Trigger Point Therapist (CMTPT) (dry needling) and began treating TMJ along with various orthopedic injuries. Joseph loves working with patients of all ages and ability levels to help them return to doing the activities they love to do.

In his free time, Joseph enjoys golfing, playing tennis, hiking and working outside in his yard. He is married to his high school sweetheart and now lives in Fishersville in the house they built in 2018. Joseph. Joseph plans on staying in the Valley for the foreseeable future and is excited about the opportunity to help the members in his community.
